Through a contract from the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, the statewide local driving while intoxicated (LDWI) program is being analyzed in terms of 1) screening using the impaired driving assessment (IDA) and 2) compliance and monitoring (e.g., probation completion rates and DWI recidivism). The project data contain DWI convicted cases from July 2020 to June 2023. The analyses focus on identifying trends and comparing DWI risk factors for those with first-time DWI offenses and those with repeat offenses.
